Sharing a Fee Public Link

This resource is here to help you understand how you can offer your course for free by sharing a public link to your course content.

By sharing your course in this way, your learners’ progress will not be trackable and they cannot earn a certificate of completion. To use these features, you can set up a class – learn more about classes. A few reasons why you might want to share a free public link: 

• Giving away free course content to share as a taster or value-add.
• Offering a ‘how-to’ guide or demo for customers using your product. 
• Basic training for clients or employees. 

Creating your share link

1. From your course builder, click the ‘Publish’ button. If this button is not clickable, make sure you’ve added media, text and thumbnails to your course outline and all of your sessions.
2. Click ‘Next’ on the publishing popup
3. Click ‘Create a Public Link’
4. Click the link to open it in a new tab and copy the URL to share it.

Sharing your public link

1. From your course builder, click the ‘Share’ button
2. Open the link
3. Copy the URL to share
4. From these Share settings, you can also switch your course from Public mode to 'Classes Only' mode and toggle showing/hiding it from your channel page.
