London Fine Art Studios was founded by Ann Witheridge with the aim of teaching the craft of drawing and painting to a community of dedicated artists. Ann studied art history at Christ’s College, Cambridge before moving to Italy to study art full-time. She has been teaching drawing and painting in the atelier tradition for nearly twenty years. When the London school began to have sell-out courses, Ann decided it was time to bring her art expertise online, helping to cater to hundreds of passionate artists looking to learn more. The online studio welcomes students of all levels, providing a supportive learning environment through Steppit’s class feed and chat.

With Steppit’s unique learning experience, Ann and her team wanted to be able to teach hands-on art skills to people in their own homes, providing in-depth feedback and a close community network just as they do at their studios in London.

With students uploading evidence of their progress through the courses, Ann is able to provide detailed feedback and suggestions. The courses are designed in three parts with the aim for students to progress from one to the next, helping to build their confidence and develop an armoury of skills along the way. 

Since the first course launched, London Fine Arts Studio has seen over 1,500 students pass through its digital doors. With the use of Steppit’s platform, LFAS has been able to reach a bigger community of dedicated art students outside of London.
