How Do You Learn a New Skill?
Pretty much every skill you have, you probably learned by doing it – from your first steps as a baby to every skill you end up using in your career. With so much technology and opportunity now at our fingertips, learning still seems to involve a lot of sitting and watching, and not a lot of action – why is that?
And think back to your childhood and starting school. The classroom learning experience can be rich with interaction, communication and guidance. Not just from the teacher, but from your peers – mentorship and shared learning is encouraging and reinforces the learning curve.
Steppit was born from the idea that online teaching can be better. We’re rethinking the way that skills can be taught, and helping to make active and social learning experiences accessible for everyone.
About Us
From our base in London, we’re a small team that wants to open up access to quality teaching and learning. We started Steppit’s parent company – Workshop – in 2016, by producing online courses ourselves with a handful of specialist education partners who saw the promise of action-oriented learning. Since then, those courses have been completed by tens of thousands and we have been able to uncover new markets and opportunities to reach students worldwide.
In late 2023, we launched Steppit to let people everywhere build quality courses using our tried and tested format. We’re excited to revolutionise the EdTech space and provide better solutions in the UK and worldwide for online and hybrid learning.
